I offer this collage of a view of the Woolworths lunch counter displayed in the old Woolworths building.at 5th Ave in Nashville, TN, a family of an anonymous grandmother, who might have been alive at the time, a woman, perhaps her daughter, and a child, perhaps her grandson, crossing a street nearby and emerging into the light of freedom symbolized by the Capitol behind, as my offering to the bravery of African Americans in their struggle for freedom, equality , and recognition.
